Our chosen charity is the UK & Ireland Fanconi Anaemia Family/Clinical Network.

Fanconi Anaemia is a rare genetic disorder found in children that involves the blood and bone marrow. Recent research has shown an association between Fanconi anaemia and leukaemia. In some cases it can be several years before otherwise healthy children evidence symptoms and are diagnosed. The prognosis is poor, but we are working towards changing this.

The exact number of children in the UK with this disorder is not known, but is less than 450. As of today, there is no cure.
